Texture in Interiors!
Feedback

I thought I would start me first blog with textured wallpaper. All of my schemes for a few years now have featured this type of wall covering. For me it’s a great way of adding texture into a scheme but not only that, it gives walls an extra dimension and can really finish off a room. While bold wallpaper prints have been popular, sometimes a more subtle approach is called for. There are many on the market to choose from, grasspaper, silk, linen and there are now some great vinyl papers which are easier to fit and washable! Try the Elitis range from Abbott & Boyd.

Take a look at some picture to see how it can be done.

Textured wallpaper

This is one of mine, we added a silk wallpaper behind the chest of drawers it blends with the paint colour but instantly lifts the furniture as a great backdrop. If you want to add colour or go darker in your scheme adding textured wallpaper is a great way to start. If the correct covering is picked it bounces off light which allows you the risk to go bolder, take a look at this as it’s a great example.

Bold and brave

And if you have an interesting collection of art or framed prints, take a look at this picture as it really works. If you prefer neutral schemes you can still add interest without going to dark!
